Expressions Dance Company has concluded auditions for the 2024-2025 season, providing a platform for passionate dancers to demonstrate their talent and commitment. Audition attire requires a solid color leotard and tan tights, emphasizing professionalism and preparation. Hair should be neatly styled in a bun or ponytail, with minimal jewelry to maintain focus during performance evaluations. Participants are expected to bring all necessary dance shoes for various genres and be prepared to learn choreography showcasing their technique in turns, kicks, leaps, and splits. Auditions are conducted in a closed environment to ensure concentration and eliminate distractions.
We seek dancers who embody maturity, positivity, and a strong work ethic, displaying energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for dance. Respectful behavior towards instructors and peers is essential, alongside maintaining strong dance technique including precise arm movements, flexibility, and grace.
ENSEMBLE
A non-competitive team for dancers ages 6 and up, focusing on technique and community performances. Dancers participate in ballet, jazz, and optional electives, with an additional 1-hour company class for choreography. Performance opportunities include local events and recitals.
Elevé
This junior competitive team for dancers ages 6 and up involves one required and one optional competition routine, along with 2-3 weekly classes. Dancers perform in local events, compete in 2 required competitions, and attend one dance convention.
elite
For advanced dancers ages 6 and up, this team requires a higher commitment with 4 competition routines, including the option for solos, duos, and trios. Dancers attend 3-4 weekly classes and participate in 3 required competitions and one convention.
encore
Designed for Elite dancers with additional extracurricular commitments, this group offers flexible scheduling and 1-2 weekly classes. Dancers may perform solos, duos, or small group routines, and have a more lenient attendance policy while still committing to key competitions and events.
